1. How Errors Are Identified

Errors may be identified through:

• Internal Review: Our editorial team regularly reviews content for accuracy during scheduled updates and re-reviews.
• User Reports: Readers who identify errors can contact us with details about the error, including the page URL, the specific claim in question, and the correct information with source citations.
• External Changes: When laws, regulations, or policies change, we update affected content to reflect the new information.

2. Error Classification

Errors are classified into two categories:

• Minor Errors: Typographical errors, formatting issues, broken links, or minor inaccuracies that do not materially affect the meaning or usefulness of the content. These are corrected promptly without additional notice.
• Major Errors: Significant factual inaccuracies that could mislead readers or materially affect their understanding of a topic. Major errors are corrected with a visible correction notice.

3. Correction Process

When an error is identified:

• The error is assessed and classified by an editor
• The correct information is researched and verified using authoritative sources
• The content is updated with the accurate information
• For major errors, a correction notice is added to the page
• Correction notices remain visible for a reasonable period to inform readers who may have seen the earlier version

4. Correction Notices

For major errors, we add a notice at the top of the affected content indicating:

• That a correction has been made
• The date of the correction
• A brief description of what was corrected
